Christian Based Business Recruiting Using Biblical Principles and Network Marketing

I was told that the life blood of your Network Marketing business is to “recruit recruit recruit hard” then Sponsor – repeat “recruit recruit recruit hard” – sponsor – something is wrong with this equation?

Now Network Marketing is a business model, however it is still a business and many aspects of a Network Marketing business relates to traditional business, this is important to take note because traditional business is easy to explain to people, they understand it right away… that is why Jesus spoke in parables (stories) he attempted to explain God’s way with stories we could understand. Let’s look at a traditional business model like a pizzeria and you’re the owner; you need more customers, so you start advertising. You put an ad in the newspaper, maybe hire a company to place fliers in the neighborhood or even do a local TV ad. Have you noticed that most successful business people who created empires DO NOT put themselves in front of their advertisements; even to this day Ford Motor Company is owned by the Ford family and you rarely hear from them. Bill Gates (before he retired) may have done a few seminars, however he never put himself in a commercial.

You should NEVER directly recruit someone, instead let a business system do it for you. Imagine Bill Gates ringing your doorbell and asking you to buy his latest operating system or Ray Kroc founder of McDonald’s (if he was still alive) stopping you in the street telling you his burgers are the best and how he made billions selling them and you need to have one your way now! Silly right? You are a business owner, you are in the process of creating an empire, so why do so many people go out and hound their friends and families, email the world and bug everyone about their great product or service and opportunity?

No matter what your product or service or even business model is, you need to passively recruit your customers and when you get them you need to passionately keep them! In Network Marketing it is the same but a little different. You need to get behind a system that does ALL the recruiting for you so you can take the time to qualify a partner and passionately HELP them to success when you have them by teaching them the system. Too many people in this business spend so much time recruiting that when they do finally get someone they ignore them and keep on recruiting! They forgot why they were recruiting in the first place and that was to find someone and keep them as a customer who is a partner in a shared commission based business.

Jesus did NOT recruit and he did not teach us to recruit. He taught FIRST to be like Him and be a shining light in the dark and then to let the word of God to the work (recruit) in the Hearts of man. He taught us to passionately sponsor or support our fellow brothers and sisters. During Jesus’ time (and now), washing the feet of another was the most passionate sign of being a servant to another. Jesus taught us that a Great Leader is a Great Servant as He was to us all. The Passion of Christ.

Your problem is that you either have not found a great business system or you did and you refuse to follow it. Your other problem is you are too busy recruiting and chasing people… think about it – if you are chasing someone it means that someone is running from you.

If you wish, leave a comment with a verse from the bible that supports what I have shared with you. God Bless – Chris Stevenson
